Why Choose Us for Exterior House Painting in Tacoma

Here’s why we stand out among other exterior painters in Tacoma:

Locally Owned & Operated

We are not a large painting franchise that cuts corners or treats customers poorly. We are a locally owned and operated company that takes pride in our work and in helping to improve our Tacoma community.

High-Quality Paints

Your home's exterior paint must be able to withstand the harsh Pacific Northwest weather. That’s why we only use high-quality paint products from leading brands such as Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams. And not only do we use the highest quality paints, but we also ensure that the products we use are properly suited for your home’s surfaces.

EPA Lead Certified

Our locally owned and operated painting company is Lead Certified. This means we can work on beautiful homes built in the Tacoma community before 1978.

At Flying Colors Painting Tacoma, we don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions. After all, you have a property with its own unique history and craftsmanship. Rest assured, you'll receive personalized service and results tailored to your individual property.

Our Exterior House Painting Process

1

Onsite Estimate

To start this process, simply call us at (253) -588- 6911 or schedule your estimate online. Our estimator will show up on time and perform a full house walkthrough with you. At this time, we’ll answer and ask questions alike, in order to compose the most comprehensive and thorough proposal as possible.
2

Estimate

After we get a feel for what your project is going to entail, we’ll go ahead and work up a proposal right there on-site. Rest assured that we’ll thoroughly review it with you and answer any questions you may have. Once you accept your proposal, we’ll send an introductory email going over scheduling, color selection, and many other details of your project.
3

Pressure-Washing

Before painting can begin, we will need to pressure wash the exterior of your home. We will apply a solution to the house to help loosen any dirt, grime, debris, and mildew. The pressure wash is the first step in preparation for a quality paint job. Rest assured, our solution is not harmful to pets or children.
4

Prep-Work

Your exterior painting project will begin about 2-4 weeks after pressure washing. On the first day of your project, our painters will begin all the necessary prep work needed to ensure a quality, long-lasting paint job - after all, the paint job is only as good as the surface the paint is being applied to! This includes scraping loose paint, priming bare wood, caulking, and replacing rotted trim. Our painters will also protect all areas of your property to make sure paint only lands on the areas intended!
5

The Painting

Now the fun part of your project can officially begin! Our skilled painters will use an airless paint sprayer to paint the body of your home and use traditional brushwork skills to paint trim and doors. Our crew will remain on site through the completion of your project, overseeing any questions, changes, or concerns.
6

Final Walkthrough

Once your exterior painting project is complete, our lead painter will perform a final walkthrough to ensure your complete satisfaction. Any last-minute touch-ups or refinements can be made at this time. And please don't be shy, our painters want things to be perfect!
